| Vin Sumner has over twenty-five years' experience in the ICT industry, and is a European expert on local, regional, national and EC-level initiatives for advancing community effectiveness in deploying ICT to enable sustainable growth. Vin is founder of Clicks and Links Ltd., a specialist ICT company with a proven track-record in providing the public sector with innovative solutions for greening ICT, improving community-wide energy efficiency, and in deploying ICT to achieve transformational change in communities. Vin is the main force behind Greenshift Europe and is leading the UK government’s Greenshift agenda, a major environmental ICT initiative bringing together Local Authorities, Universities and private sector partners in developing eGovernment services that will support households and SMEs reduce emissions. | ![]() |
| Cheryl Miller has twenty years of international business experience in the ICT sector, and has worked for nearly a decade in technology and sustainability policy in Washington, DC and Brussels, Belgium. She has played an instrumental role in drafting the EUROCITIES Green Digital Charter, and has written other high-level European reports on ICT and Sustainability, with a particular focus on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Cheryl consults globally on ICT Best Practices/Service Management based on ITIL, Organizational Change Management and Strategic Communications, and is founder of Zen Digital, based in Brussels, Belgium. | |
| Colum Joyce has twenty-five years of international business experience, and has recently done work intensively in the area of ICTs for energy efficiency and sustainability. He has been the chair of the “restructuring group ICT for energy efficiency,” member of the Taskforce on the Emerging Economy of the European Policy Centre, and has provided research support to the EU Cities Environmental Initiative. Currently, his activities focus on GHG Reduction strategy visualization tools, future business models and transition, and on the EcoSearch initiative. | |
| Olli Aro is a respected technologist in the area of J2EE, XML and open source software, and in particular OpenCMS and Plone. He is deeply involved in the virtual worlds venture, Second Places, delivering innovative solutions based on Second Life and OpenSim. As Chief Technology Officer, Olli has played at critical role in delivering all the technological solutions implemented by Clicks and Links since July 2001. | ![]() |
| Richard Bush is an experienced and results-driven PRINCE2 accredited project management professional. He led the successful development of the Digital Challenge website for the UK Department of Communities and Local Government, and is currently coordinating the Research & Technological Development (RTD) activities for DEHEMS (the Digital Environment Home Energy Management System), a European Commission FP7 project on environmental management and energy efficiency, involving thirteen partners across four EC countries. | |
| David Edwards has public sector and ICT knowledge which he is deploying to benefit the environment and for implementing the Green Agenda. He is currently involved in delivering the DEHEMS project, and will disseminate key learning and results from DEHEMS for environmental management and energy efficiency projects aimed at utilising ICT for energy efficiency in public building and spaces. | ![]() |
